Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vistream processes, why it is needed, and what choices are available to you.

1. What Vistream does

Vistream is a media playback application. The app lets you open and play media that you store on your device or access through a remote media address. This policy applies to the Vistream app and the support services linked from it.

2. Information processed on your device

Core playback features may use information that remains on your device, including local file locations, playlists, playback position, playback history, preferences, and app settings. Vistream does not upload your local media files to us simply because you open or play them in the app.

3. Information sent when you use remote media

If you open a remote media address, your device connects to the host that provides that media. The host may receive technical information such as your IP address, device or browser user agent, request time, and the media address requested. That activity is governed by the host's own privacy policy and terms.

4. Support and technical information

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. We may also receive limited technical diagnostics, such as app version, operating system, device model, and crash details, when those details are provided through your device or support request. We use this information to answer you, investigate problems, and improve reliability.

5. How information is used

We use information to provide playback features, save your preferences, respond to support requests, investigate crashes, protect the service, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use local media content for advertising or sell local media files.

In short: local playback data stays on your device unless you choose to share it with us or a third-party media host.

6. Third parties

Vistream may rely on Apple platform services, app distribution services, hosting providers, email providers, or crash diagnostics providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own terms and privacy policies. When you play remote media, the remote host is a separate third party.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local playback history, playlists, and settings can be removed through Vistream when those controls are available, or by deleting the app and its stored data through your device. Support messages and technical records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain security, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements.

You may request access to or deletion of personal information that Vistream controls by emailing support@vistream.cc. We may need to verify your request before completing it.

8. Children and privacy choices

Vistream is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Vistream or its data practices change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@vistream.cc.

Terms of Use

These terms set the basic rules for using Vistream and clarify what remains your responsibility when playing media.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Vistream, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use Vistream on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

2. Permission to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Vistream on Apple devices that you own or control. This permission is for lawful use and does not transfer ownership of the app or its branding to you.

3. Your media and remote sources

You keep ownership of media you own. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to access, play, stream, download, or display any media through Vistream. You are also responsible for the remote sources you open, your network connection, your device, and your backups.

Vistream does not grant permission to use third-party media, and we do not verify that every remote source is accurate, available, lawful, or authorised.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Vistream to break the law, infringe another person's rights, distribute malware, interfere with the app or its security, bypass access controls, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

5. Third-party services

Vistream may work with Apple services and third-party media sources. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and may have separate terms, privacy policies, availability, and content. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

6. Ownership

Vistream, including its software, visual design, name, logo, and documentation, is owned by Vistream or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you ownership rights in any part of Vistream.

7. Availability and disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vistream is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every format or source, or that the app will always be free from errors. You should keep independent copies of important media and data.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vistream and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes and contact

You may stop using Vistream at any time. We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to support@vistream.cc.
